Since November 2024, the weekly reading cycle, co-facilitated by AaltoAI and Tutke — the Finnish Center for Safe AI, opens a room to follow recent LLM developments through a close discussion of scientific papers. 2025 was dubbed the year of AI agents. As the systems become more autonomous, making their own decisions that affect the real world, the challenge of reliably aligning them with human values and intentions, both technical and social in nature, is becoming ever more pressing.
